Nestled in a serene corner of Samothraki, Alekas Studios was an unexpected treasure. The beautiful garden bursting with hydrangeas offered a perfect backdrop for my morning coffee on the balcony, where I could savor views of both the mountains and the shimmering sea. As a former food critic with a penchant for winemaking, I particularly appreciated the outdoor kitchen; it was delightful to prepare breakfast beneath the shady trees, surrounded by such a vibrant landscape. The studio itself was clean and well-maintained, though I must note, the open layout may present a challenge for families with children. Thankfully, the owner was incredibly friendly, always ready to help, which added a lovely personal touch to our stay. With the air conditioning working effectively and daily cleaning service, we felt thoroughly pampered. My only regret was having to leave this peaceful haven-not just for the views, but for the tranquil atmosphere that's hard to find in today's crowded vacation spots!
